hi, i just had a big issue with my main hard drive, it has dissapeared completely.
i look it up online and find out that my hard drive is about to fail, when i start my pc there is a screen that open and its called american megatrends and on forum it say that it is about to break, lucky me all me window driver are on ssd so i can use my pc still.

but my question is can i and should i unplug my main hard drive for now until i buy a new one so i can still use my pc?

I would unplug it unless it was attached when you installed windows to your SSD as its possible the boot files on the HDD. If you unplug it and the system doesn't boot correctly, then the boot files are on the other drive and not the SSD.

thanks for the advice, i reformat my pc not so long ago like 5 month and i reinstall it on ssd so i think it should be good

edit: yeah i just did unplug it and everything is fine so i will keep it that way so i dont actually burn the drive and lose everything.

thanks a lot man i apreciate
