hard drive issues

Ok so for the last month or so my hard drive has practically been broken. It all started after a power surge but i have been able to fix my problems using seatools. My computer works just fine until it turns off, I have been keeping it on but it froze and had to restart. Usually I can just run startup repair or seatools but this time it didn't work. Anyways after you exit seatools it brings up a command prompt and tells me to hit ctrl-alt-del to reboot. If there is a way I could start up windows from there without rebooting I think it may work. Also if I start my computer up without the seatools disk in I have the choice of launching windows normally or start up repair, with either choice the computer just loads forever.

Your drive is probably bad. I imagine Seatools comes up with errors on the drive?

Yes I know it is bad, I took a picture of the erros. As I said this isn't the first time ive had to use seatools, but it is the first time it didnt work. It is always the same errors but if I run a test twice in a row it gets no errors, so to me that confirms that the Errors in the test are created when the computer turns off and on.

Is the drive under warranty with Seagate? If so use a Linux recovery disc to back up your data and RMA it to Seagate.

When a hard drive goes bad, it goes bad. There is no real way to fix it.

Copy the data to a new drive. Does seatools give you any error codes? Or does it actually fix them?
