Hard drive memory dissapeared

i have an windows xp, my computer has (should have) 180gb in C and 180 in D it used to be allright but then some crappy virus infected system32(blaming my friend) and i had to reinstall windows XP well i did that, then i found out that i cant find the drivers and i discovered an packard bell CD that can reinstall the system well i used that and then after long time of installation i finally got my computer to work... then i go to my computer and look at /C and it says it has only 30gb max space:(... any solutions? i would love to get my free space back:o

Ps my computer is an packard bell

right click "my computer" and choose "manage" then go into "disk management"

How many partitions do you have on your drives, how are they laid out, and what are thier sizes?
 
Are the drives formatted as FAT32 or NTFS? FAT32 drives have file size limitation of 32GB, so if you accidentally formatted it as FAT32, the rest is now left unused.

tried defraggin already but nothing well now when i got to disk management it shows me D/ is FAT32 and has 180gb avaible while C/ is NTFS and shows 30gb while the other 150gb is not in use or something ( Sorry for my bad english :D )
 
reinstall xp again and make sure to make the partition the correct size this time. You have simply made it 150gb too small.

Couldnt she just use Acronis True Image or another program along those lines to turn that drive to a full partitioned drive?

That would of been my first thing to try.

Right-click the unallocated (varaamaton) space, and from the opening menu pick the option for creating new partitions (dunno the exact translation, but it should be self-explanatory). Then you just follow the instructions, it will walk you through every step, just make sure you format it as NTFS and that you use the maximum available space. After you've done that, you have a new empty partition that allows you to utilize the rest of the space on the HDD.
