hard drive partition help

I have a 298 GB hard drive and I want to cut it into two even partitions.

And put win xp pro on one partition and Ubuntu 10.10 on the other partition.

Will eatch partition be big enough for eatch os??

I have 80GB hdd and it has 4 partitions still it can hold two OSs, then in 298GB you can easily get in OS in those two even partitions.

149 gb. By chance have you heard of using a calculator? If you don't have one the pc you are on should have the calculator app installed.

I don't its recommended that you divide the HDD in half, I think you can even go for 200 and 98.
