Hard drive partition

I've got a 500 gb hard drive and i would like to install 2 OS (xp and vista)

I would also like to have another partition just for documents, pics, music etc. (storage)
After vista works fully with no problems i will then get rid of xp and use that partition to store the programs for vista.

The only thing i'm stuck on is what size should i make these partitions?

thanks

Aaron

vista one likw 10-15 gb and the other ther rest. then you will have just vista on the one drive and you can have storage on the other

i am.. i just wanted to know what size for each partition.. i'd also like to leave room to accommodate for programs/games.

ok so you want 2 right. one for vista and one for xp that you will reformat later on and just use vista and use it as backup right

make vista like 50 gbs and the rest all XP , Vista SP1 is coming out soon so Vista will have no flaws at all............ i think , well mine has no flaws at all, but 50 at most bc what if u want to put more files on Vista....... just in case

what ive done on my system is partitioned my 120Gb drive into 3 Partitions.

1:Vista = 30Gb

2:Backup = 40Gb (Store photos,Music, files etc on this) So if my os dies on me i havnt lost my files if i need to re-install windows.

3:Xp = 50Gb

i used Norton partiton magic,Its great and i can resize them whenever i need or merge partitions.
