Hard drive power confusion...

Well a regular 4 pin molex connector has a red/black and a yellow/black. Plus a molex only plugs in, in one direction. So its kinda easy to match up. Take a wild guess:P. You can just plug the adapter into a regular molex, you dont have to remove the yellow/black wire. It will only make connection with the red/black.

It's not that simple. Im not attaching this to a standard PC motherboard. In fact, it's not even a PC. I do know from research that this company reversed the 12v and 5v poles on their motherboard. So I'd like to know for sure, which connections I need, before i fry another laptop hard drive...
