Hard Drive probbsss again

Yeah I took out my old hard drive on my windows because it had 2 drives in there and this one just had music on it etc ANYWAYS i took it out and then when I realized i should just burn dvds with the files on it I decided to put it back into the PC and i have NO idea why it wont run anymore but everytime it starts up windows makes some really weird sound and idk if i have the wires wrong or what because i have tried a buncha combinations with it....
so is it my hard drive messing up or am i connecting wrong?
 
Did you forget to plug in one of the connections like the power plug? On the ide type drive the data cable can only go in one way due to the locking tab seen on the end connector. But if you forgot to plug the power plug in that can drag on the system and the drive will fail to be read. Recheck the two items there.
