Hard Drive Problem

Ok Guys Got A Nice Problem For Ya

i have 2 hard drives but the problem is with western digital 1 i installed vista and xp on 2 partitions they were fine xp for games and vista for work, but now the western digital F**ked up and now i had to install vista on the other hard drive and now while turning on the pc and you get press f2 to go to bios and other stuff like that it freezes so i removed the western digital hard drive and now it works only on 1 hard drive just wondering why the western digital cant be recongised but when i plug it in while im on vista it shows but keeps freezing when i start up
 
What happened to the hard drive? Did the OS simply get messed up or did the hard drive actually go bad? If the hard drive actually is going bad then that's the problem. Otherwise what i'd try is a full format of the drive, and remove the partitions and see if it will recognize it then. You might have to put it in another computer to do this as it sounds like the one you're using right now doesn't like it at all.
