Hard drive question!

Depending on if all other factors are similar (interface, cache, quality) you will notice a slight improvement, mostly just when benchmarking, as the HDD score will be higher than a similar 7200K.
 
yeah, but for me its not worth the money, why buy a 73gig raptor when you can get like a 160-200 gig 7200k, i say just get a better 7200k insted...
 
the raptors (10K RPM) have faster access time, but they dont have a higher cahe. The only differences that you would really notice is the time it takes to boot up your comp, start some programs, ect. Games however run off of ram, so it wouldnt really make a difference in terms of game performance. But as Ku-Sama said, the 200GB+ 7200RPM hard drives are a much better value, espeically SATA II which perforams better in sysmark then a raptor does.

I would onyl get the 10K rpm hard drive if you do alot of video/image/audio editing and creating since they depend more on a hard drive speed then other programs.
