Hard Drive questions

Okay right now i have a 40GB HD in my pc. I just installed a brand new 80GB western Digital HD as a slave. I did this because as of now i have 2.63 GB left out of the 40GB HD. So what i was thinking was reformatting the 40GB with a fresh install of windows xp and then one i finish that, can i somehow go about copying it to my new 80GB HD becasue i find it pointless to have 2 hard drives when i just need everything on the new 80gb. Is it possiable for me to just install fresh XP on the 40 then once i boot on the 40GB , somehow just copy it all to my new 80GB HD and then just take the the out and master the new 80gb?
Also would i need some kind of software to copy one HD to the other??
Thanks again,steve

umm? Forgive me for being so blunt, but that makes no bloody sense at all.. lol

Just install the 80GB as your master, partition it, format it and install Windows. No screwing around and you're all done. :)

im sorry for the confusion. but im not sure if that will work , because im useing a dell reinstallation XP disc, would that just work in the new 80gb? if not that is the reason why i would want to copy it from the 40GB to the 80GB
thanks

Oh yeah, it will work just fine. The installation disk doesn't care what size of HDD it is, it just cares whether that's a Dell mobo in the computer.
