Hard drive reccomendations

Today I installed a new cpu, non- stock gpu, mobo and everthing into a new case, except for my hitachi deskstar hdd whick I plucked from an old computer. And after trying to get it to work, the windows vista on the hard drive wont accept my new cpu. I am going to buy windows 7 and I need a new hard drive that I can buy from best buy.

TL;DR: I need a new hdd from best buy, what ones should I look for, and watch out for?

Western Digital and Seagate are the two main brands, it seems like. Why from best buy? Be sure to shop around and compare prices. Might even be cheaper on newegg, even with shipping. Is your Vista 32-bit or 64-bit?

I will be buying 64 bit win7

Right now the caviar black 1tb western digital looks good, what do you think?

If I was looking for a reliable storage space hard drive I would go with this one:

Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640 gigabyte 7200 RPM Serial ATA Hard Drive - $61

If I was looking for a fast hard drive for my operating system I would get this one:

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 HD322GJ/U 320 gigabyte hard drive - $50.30
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...e=samsung_spinpoint_f4-_-22-152-244-_-Product

I get great read speeds off Samsung F4 Spinpoint drive.

I settled for the western digital caviar black 7200 rpm 32bit 3.0gbs 1TB. Mainly because I deal with alot of large video files when I edit.
