Hard drive space???

Hi want to know what happen to my space allocation in my Hard drive, I had 500GB of hard drive as a second hard drive in my rig. But when I look at the space given it was only 465Gb ,where's the 35Gb ?? it 's gone cant think where that huge amount where place or consumed? I did format that after i installed it as a storage. Any smart ideas guys???

This is normal. It's to do with formatting. Hard disk manufactures measure a kilobyte as 1,000 bytes and a megabyte as 1,000 bytes and so on.

However Windows measure it at 1,024 bytes so that's where it's gone. My 500 GB shows as 465.

That is completely normal. The bigger the hard drive, the more space you lose.

my 320 gb hard drive shows 298 space.
