Hard drive upgrade for my MBP

So as you can see my hard drive is pretty damn slow. I'm going to remove my DVD drive and add a second hard drive to hopefully speed things up.

I was contemplating going with a raid 0 setup with two 7200rpm hard drives but I tossed that idea out because it only works for osx and I hardly use osx. So now I'm thinking about going with a SSD for windows and using my current hard drive for osx and storage.

I'm looking to spend about $200 for the hard drive and I need at least 200gb.
Right now i'm thinking about going with this hard drive:

I was just hoping to get some feedback if there was another hard drive that would be better for around the same price.

Ha, well I ended getting the Samsung 840 Pro 128gb instead. I chose the samsung over ocz because it uses a little bit less power and produces less heat. I couldn't justify spending $100 for 256gb when I have a 750gb hard drive. Thanks spirit, i'll let you know how it goes.

Excellent! You should notice the difference between an SSD and your HDD. Do you have SATA 6GB/s in your MBP?

I was expecting the write speeds to be in the 500s (as samsung advertised) but it turns out their claims were based off the 512gb version. Not that big of a deal considering I should have done more research and I will probably never notice the difference anyways.

Installing this SSD was a pain. I found out, after installing both hard drives, that windows won't boot off an external superdrive so I had to re-install it internally, install windows, and then re-install the hard drive. Once I got everything up and running and tweaking windows for an SSD I ran a benchmark and noticed my write speed was only about 60mb/s and read speeds were 300mb/s. Turns out apple only lets you use IDE. Fortunately though I was able to tweak windows MBR to enable AHCI.

I hate macs sometimes.
