hard drive upgrading help

I currently have 160gb HDD with 2mb cache and it is very noticible slow when gaming. I cannot game with this.. I am thinking to get a new HDD with atleast 4mb cache but..... ummmmm.....

.......If I install a new HDD do I lose everything? is it posible for me to keep everything and every data from the current HDD when replacing with the new HDD? Can all the stuff from the curent HDD be transfer to the new HDD? inlcuding OS, system recovery pitition ect..... if so..... how?
 
I get sudden pause at times when gaming.. feels like hdd lagg. I am 97.99% sure it is due to the 2mb cache on the hdd.

Most computer has over 4mb cache hdd.
 
I think we both right.

most the time I only play asian mmorpgs and other games that runs through the hard drive. I dont play mainstream FPS's ect.... basically I only play games that runs on the hard drive not CD drive therefore hard drive plays the main role for me.

anyway is it posible for me to transfer all the datas in the current hard drive to the new hard drive without have to install os and everything all over again and without losing anything?
 
hmmmm...... well ok. anyway in the scenario if I still want to upgrade my hdd..... is it posible for me to keep everything as is without doing everything all over again? like transfer all the stuff from the current hdd to the new hdd without installing os ect.. all over again.
