hard drive wont read on bios

Hi,

I disconnected my hard drive last nite and put a mates in, then I took it of this morning and hooked my back up and turned it on and now it is asking for ths system disk as it has a boot failure.

So I checked the bios and now it aint reading my hard drive

Any ideas on what to do?

IDE or SATA? Any jumper changes or possible change in location on the(different channel or what not...) Is your bios set to automatically pick up the drive's specs?

its a Maxtor, so it will be IDE, I think.
nah wiring is still the same.
bios is set to pick up auto

got it fixed, worked it out
