Hard drive won't register

i recently purchesed a new WD 750g HD from newegg this week, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136150

apon installing it the Motherboard says its there, the devive manager says its there, but when i bring up My Computer to see all the HDs its not reading, the HD didn't come with any disks or wires.

Is there something else i need to do?

right click "my computer" and click manage
then click disk manager in the left panel
does it show in there? it probably will if it's in your device manager
you'll probably need to assign a drive letter.

Its in the Device manager saying its working, but i don't have access to the drive itself.

how would i assign it a Drive letter?

right click "my computer" and click manage
then click disk manager in the left panel
right click besides the drive there you'll find the options you need to format your drive and assign drive letters.

then click disk manager in the left panel
right click besides the drive there you'll find the options you need to format your drive and assign drive letters.

You might need to initialize it first. But all the steps are the same, just pick initialize then create a partition and you're good.
