hard drive

I have a Compaq Presario 5441 i'm scrapping. I'm using parts on other comps. Can I completely erase the hard drive(8GB), not saving any information off it, and install as a slave or master in a Gateway G6-300 or a Compaq SR1053wm? If so, how would be the simpliest way to do so?

Yeah you can do that,, I've done that with one of my computer and works without any problem..

Extra Space is Always Good...

Yup... you can install the HDD as a Slave on the new computer, then in windows explorer, right click the slave hdd and select format.
