Hard Drives Have No Boot Sequence??? Help :(

Please help me!

My computer has crashed! *fart noise*
I got blue screened yesterday at some time (had my computer on all day but wasn't on it). I raged then restarted it to see if any of my documents were recovered, and just my luck:
"No boot device available -
Strike F1 to retry reboot, F2 for setup utility"
So i pressed F1 and the same thing came up every time i pressed it. So i went into setup utility to check the boot sequence, and beside every drive it said (not present)

None of my hard drives have a boot sequence -_-

I turned off fast startup and restarted and it said \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM is missing or corrupt and that I can attempt to repair it by starting windows setup using the original setup cd-rom.

The thing is: I bought this off my friend so I don't have the disk. He got rid of it. I'm a noob. I don't know anything about hardware malfunctions. I have no idea how serious this is. Here's what I know for sure:

My computer is shit.
It has ALL of my pictures on it and I want them recovered if at all possible.
After all this is over, I'm getting a new computer.

You have 1 of 2 things to do...

First run a live linux dvd (use boot from cd-rom via BIOS settings)

When live dvd linux load with success, go in your personal data, copy that in to a memory or usb hard disk...

Then make a new clear install of windows.
Make sure after partition, to choice full format and not quick.

or

Seccond, go with live linux dvd , get access and save in a usb hard or memory all your data you want, and then choice repair windows.

Please note if exist hardware issue maybe this make the things worst.
Make sure you have enabled S.M.A.R.T hhd protocol from BIOS...
Before try repair windows.
