well i just noticed this annoying little problem the other day it seems all my local disks were being shared i go in and disable sharing on them but when i reboot they're shared again and i cant figure out whats doing it any help is greatly apprecicated :)

well danm i was hopeing with a name like computerforum i might get 1 reply other than my own but hey thanks for the help i still have this problem even after reformating and reinstalling and now my 200 gig hd that i partitioned into 2
the first partition that i made is still working but the second one that was working is now telling me its unreadable and corrupt im at a total loss on this problem and it only seems to be getting worse ive run countless virus scans with diffrent scanners from avg to microtrend online scan and nothing so if anyone here can help or any ANY sugestions are appreciated

Right click on my computer and pick manage. Under System Tools there's a Shared Folders tree, remove any shares that are there and see if that fixes your shared folder problem.

For your corrupt drive, run chkdsk /f (or /r if you want to try and recover data) on your problem parition.

ok well ive done that but every share i disable says it will be reenabled after reboot so im still at a loss but oh well... thanks for the help
