Hard drives turning off?

I have a PC with multiple hard drives. My main hard drive is 250gb, and a 750gb for FRAPS recordings. It seems like after 10 minutes, my second hard drive turns off, and all the time i want to access a file, or start an ingame recording, it freezes my PC untill it gets up to speed. How can I have the harddrive run without it turning off?

I believe you will need to goto power management in control panel(xp) or power options in Vista

I highly doubt it would be in there, there's no need for the hard drive to be spinning up at it's maximum speed whenever the computer is on, which is why you hear it spin up when you want to record to it.
