Hi all, I'm wondering if you could help me troubleshoot some hard lock-ups I've been having.
Every once in a while, when playing a game (you must realize, the majority of the time on my computer I am playing a game) I get hard lock-ups that I am forced to restart to fix. I'm just wondering all the possibilities of what could be causing this. I don't think it's a CPU overheating problem; I have okay temps (about 37 deg C when Idle, haven't tested under load). Just wondering, what else could be causing this? I'm pretty sure its hardware because I've experienced it with two separate OS installations. The other thing, I have two different speeds of DDR2 in my computer. Theoretically, they should be running at the slowest denominator, correct? Could this be causing porblems in any way?
