Hard Problem or Other Problem

Dear Friends,

I have installed two hard in our desktop system, One hard use as window XP SP2 and 2nd hard use for data. When I connect 2nd hard to system, my system hanged in a minute even I run antivirus then its also hanged. please help me how I solve the problem

The problem is either a bad drive or a bad controller possibly. Disconnect the drive and try booting with only one hard drive.
 
Is the hard drives IDE or SATA. If IDE check for master and slave. Also change out ribbon if ide. If sata, change out the drive cable. Otherwise, go with "Spirit" suggestion.
 
Thanks Dear, Its a IDE hard drives, master hard for Window Xp & slave drive for data storage. When i disconnect the slave drive the system is proper running and then connect the system hanged in few a minute. ribbon is ok.
