harddrive/enclosure

hey guys, my dad wants an external harddrive, so i convinced him to get a normal internal drive with an external enclosure, just to save some money. he needs a pretty big drive, atleast 300gigs, if not 400. He doesn't need any of those really expensive harddrives, maybe just 8 megs of cache.

Can anyone suggest a good reliable harddrive and a usb external enclosure? Thanks

There are a large number of hard drives that could be recommended here. The brand here is Western Digital for the most part. The next response could easily be from someone who favors Seagate or Maxtor.
