Harddrive light coming on too often>?>?

Hey have been rippin games on my new build for a couple months and recently I think it's my hard drive that's acting up.

The white led on the front of my corsair carbide 500R (Im assuming the HDD light) Is coming on rapidly and I assume my Hard Drive is making this horrible loud noise while loading.

Like "DD-d-d-ddd-d-d-DDD-d-d" < (Don't look to retarded trying to sound that out)

Is my hard drive failing or do i have a virus or something. Done a cleanup and defragment didn't seem to help

lol yea i guess i could do that. Almost 100% sure it is harddrive. I will try and record it im not sure how but i will try lol.

Try downloading the free version of HD Tune, and run an error scan or benchmark.
Back up your data asap, best policy whenever a harddrive issue is detected (hopefully you keep a good backup anyways)

The 'click of the death' is usually one of the first signs of a bad drive. Have you noticed any crashes or freezes or Windows generally being slow recently?
