HardDrive Question?

my main drive i think is crashing, i always get the message that windows explorer has encountered a problem, and needs to restart , so i just ctrl alt del, and everything will disappear, and after 2 seconds everything will come back, shouldi buy a new drive and put it as my main drive, or what else can i do to see whatelse can be done?

it doesnt mean ur drive is crashing, just make sure the is not making clicking sound.

Get different operating system.
Microsoft no longet supports 98 and its bugs.

This issue is very frecvent in Win98. At the office we have this problem daily, but we managed to get used to it.

And if the hardware haven't enough power for Win2k or XP? I think you didn't reffer to Win95 or WinME...

Short of isolation you cant really "prevent" (even then its questionable). Having a firewall and a viruscaner should be sufficient for most people
