If I replace a harddrive that has crapped out, do I have to have a BIOS disk to reload? Got the OS original and everything else but BIOS. Do I have to have it? Can I just install the new harddrive and reinstall the OS and be good? Isn't BIOS stored in the RAM?

All u need is a boot disk if u r going 2 install Windows again on another hdd. The BIOS isn't stored in the RAM,it is stored in the ROM chip. The BIOS cannot b removed, but only read.

U can set the BIOS 2 boot from CD, that mite make ur life easier.
