I am currently working on my first build and I ran into some problems. The sata cables that came with my motherboard seem to be "not right" well the white and orange sata cables fit in fine while the other one which I assume is for power is extremely short. Am i supposed to use this cable or the cable from the power supply??? yeah this is probably confusing but hopefully someone can help.

There should be a SATA connection which obviously connects to the HDD(should be wider than the one that connects to the mobo). There should also be another 4-pin connection that can connect to the PSU, connect it so that your HDD will be powered.
