Hardrive to Hardrive Transfer

I got a new win7 pc and i want to transfer some files from my old computer, but the old computer has vista.

Can i plug the old hardrive with vista on the the new computers mother board even tho its running win7 and simply transfer the files i want to the new one with copy paste or something? Or is it more complicated then that?

Yes, its that simple. Just plug it in, and transfer the files.

If you had a password protected account you may need to take ownership (http://www.blogsdna.com/2159/how-to...sions-to-access-files-folder-in-windows-7.htm) of the my documents folder if you are copying out of it but otherwise, as john said it is that simple
