Do you guys know how to check whether your hardware is damaged or not? I know how to check the HD using Surface test , but what about the rest (the memory and cpu, the video card, etc)? if hope you guys can help me on this.
If you have another system that you know is working you can test each component separately. However, if you have just put together your own system from different sources and you want to find out if it runs stable you could run it continuously overnight doing CPU or disk intensive tasks. If hardware fails it will usually do so in the first few hours of operation. DirectX can be used to test your video and sound card (type dxdiag at the start/run prompt).
