hardware identification

I am in search of a good software, Windows-based or boot disk or whatever, that is able to accurately identify hardware components (mobo, modem, video card, anything). There are many cases I run into motherboards and other components with no model number. I have used software like the old everest home edition, but sometimes I get inaccurate results. Any recommendations?

How much is PC Wizard 06? I am working on some PC's for a local biz and yes the owners have not a clue. So I am SOL unless I get that. Does it identify mobo, chipset, and CPU?
