I have a Nvidia Ge Force Fx 5500, I have the latest driver installed,

I have a problem that when i play 3d games or do anything that is challenging for the graphics a hissing noise comes out of the case of my PC and the graphics on screen go all jumpy, when the hissing noise stops the graphics go smooth again.

can anyone please help? my graphics card dose not have a fan on it, so the hissing noise isn't that,
also, is this actually a graphics card problem at-all, it could be my processor (pentium 4 HT 3.2 Ghz)

Finally, please no-one tell me to sell something and buy a new card or PC.

Thanks,
Oscar

lol. :)

@Oscar, open up the case, and find out were the hissing is coming form, maybe just a fan needs a clean

mabey its the cd? if the game is reading the info from the cd, the hissing could mean something is getting fked up in the reading proccess and then mabey thats why the game starts to slow down. IDK just my 2 cents

Go out and buy a new video and a new PC!

Open your case, turn on the PC and open up your 3D game. When you hear the hissing noise, look around inside the case and also try to listen to where it is coming from. If you find out what it is then let us know.

Yea its coming from the processor, but its not the fan.

I could hear it more clearly when i opened the case.

Also i think you guys are missing the fact that it happens in all of my 3D games not just the one.

My computer hardware knowlage isn't exactly fantastic, so if i have to fiddle with the CPU please someone guide me through taking the fan and heat sink off and all that .

I have a pentium 4HT 3.2 Ghz..

Thanks a lot people, you are very helpful to me. Seriously
