well i dont have the PC built yet.. im waitin on my last part to get here.. and i just wanted an idea to have the knowledge of what temps should be so i know for my new PC and for future PCs i build and friends PCs..

My cpu stays around 32c idle and 38c load , but anywhere upto 55c should be alright... and the same for the harddrive but theres no reason for it to get that hot.. and usually the motherboard temp likes to hang around the cpu temp...
a really good temp program that lets you change the speeds of your fans(if your mobo supports it) is speedfan and its free...;)

Ok im guesing you need thermometers built into your computer to do this, and if thats the case and I dont have any, is there anouther way to check the temp.?

The temp displayes/fan controllers dont really work, the fan controllers do, but the temperature probes go on the outside of the piece of hardware, so using a program on your computer is much more acurate for finding your hardware temps then a temperature display outside of your comp. And my cpu runs around 40-45 idle, and 50-60 on full load.

well im pretty sure the temp display im gonna use will be close enough.. not like its gonna be 10-20 degrees off or somethin..
