Hardware Video Overlay!!

MY PC has been fine since i got it but i removed sp2 because i heard bad things about it and ended up reinstalling it but now when i play videos or dvds they are all green in colour, like overlayed. In winamp it said remove hardware video overlay and i did and now in winamp its fine but every other program it is still green and i cant play dvds in winamp. What im asking is why has thsi just happened and how to fix it, many thanks in advance.
 
Nope, at least i dont think so. What does it do?

Edit, dont worry i searched the forum and found some answers, installed it and its fine. However i would still like to know why it happened, if you dont knwo or cant be bothered its fine. Thanks again! :D :)

This morning it was broken again or some reason so i tried doing system restores to several points but it still didnt work, and then my keyboard stopped working. If you like i can post a screenshot of a movie?
