All of my wireless computers get internet off the router, but the computer that is hardwired cant get internet. this happened ever since i started deleting files from my computer to clean it up, maybe deleted something i needed. I reinstalled windows and the internet was working, then the next day it didnt work. i tried again in like 5 hours, and it almost loaded a page, some pictures came up, then it stopped. The message is "website found, waiting or reply". I believe the computer is getting internet, but for some reason doesn't work. This completely baffles me. Does anyone have any suggestions, any help is greatly appreciated. Also, i am using comcast cable.

i can only make one suggestion as stupid as it sounds. nothing to loose so please replay back with results. im using comcast also. had something similar. i take it your using ie? try installing firefox one time then run. then try the other. actually it was firefox that did not work. double clicked ie then worked. went back to firefox and never had a problem after that.

i think i fixed it. this is messed up. I installed AOL because my friend likes to use it. I realized that AOL is the ONLY browser that can be used. I uninstalled it, then re-installed it, now all my browsers work. This makes no sense at all to me. Thanks for all your help.
