Has any one here overclocked a laptop

Any one who has done it .... I'm not talking about Dell XPS or Alienware
but normal laptops like asus vaio's hp etc etc

I wouldn't advise it seeing as laptops get pretty hot as it is. If your going to overclock it slightly then buy a laptop cooler whihc is basically a fan you place the laptop on. Also are you talking about overclocking the processor or the graphics card?

Well... it was a laptop that had a pentium 4, used setfsb... Dont recommend it though as you would need to reapply the overclock everytime you turn it on. Newer laptops i doubt you can even use it, would more than likely just crash outright...Plus the cooling on laptops is pretty subpar, again... not recommended.

Thanks for the replay first of all im not going to overclock at all i know its dangerous and the cooling isnt good for overclocking at all i just wanted to know if somebody did it thats all,,,
