RE: directpc.ca or Buydirectpc.com

ggggggggg I hope you never did buy from directpc.ca, the richmond. BC based company, aka Beenet Computer. I just bought from them, it took them 2 weeks to send it out, and only because i INSISTED they ship it overnight after I placed the order 2 weeks before. After I received the laptop, I found by using "everest" program, that they installed a 40 gb 4200 rpm hard drive, instead of the 5400 rpm which i ordered! I even have the PO which clearly states that the 5400 is what I ordered. It has now been an additional two weeks and I still have NOT received the 5400 rpm hard drive, even though they PROMISED it would be shipped.......I am still waiting.....NOR do they respond to email or to phone calls

BTW, the computer itself, is quite good, i have the 17 inch d47ev model.

that is a nice laptop you have spec'd out..but how much are you gonna use it off a/c...

that is gonna chew up the battery like you wouldn't believe.

if u are not concerned than go for it, but if you want something with more life on battery check out dell's inspiron 700m...with Intel Centrino processor
(inquire about upgrade to ATI 128MB Video Card...not on website..but still available)

small, really nice case, and a lot of options for custom builds...

but its your choice...

i dunno, my friends got a 3.2 P4 and it does not last over 2 hrs on battery power...

then again this can be influenced by what u will use the laptop for..

are you gonna be gaming??? or like work stuff??
