Hi, i just found this website: ipodwizard.net , and I'm really confused as to how to use this stuff. Its supposed to let u change fonts and graphics on ur vid ipod, and I wanna try, but I don't wanna f anything up. If you have experience and wanna help, please im me on xfire, username: 808blackmamba or just reply to the thread....

Do Ipods have firmware? If so, then you could just revert to the old firmware if you mess it up at all.

if you mess up your ipod you wont be able to revert to the original firmware unless your ipod's port on the bottom is still functional and your pc can still detect it as an ipod... which will be very unlikely

My friend put linux onto his iPod Nano (5G?), he was able to play Doom on it also. But it got kinda messed up so he had to put the original firmware on there.

Back when I wanted an Ipod (I now realize I dont really like music and have no use for one) I found this website that lets you put Linux on it you could probably do something with that I don't know what though I'll find the link for you if you want.
EDIT: oh I just read the post before mine nevermind about what I said (i'll still find the link if you want)

iPodwizard is very reliable. It only offers changing graphics and etc.

I use ipodwizard for my ipod. I took some red fire theme and changed it around in photoshop. It's definettly worth it.

And yes the ipod can handle linux. After all linux itself is very small. It's the packages that take up the room ;) . Though I fail to see the point.

Trizoy and jbrown456: I care.

imagine going from 100+ keys down to 5? How did he open doors? turn on flashlight...
Come on..

What I am saying is, ridiculous ideas/stories from OMEGA... Basically nobody cares.. GET IT?

It was accualy Doom, you know the original. (3 would rock)

But whats the point of changing the text. Its not like you sit there and read the song as you listen to it. I mean I would get bored of reading it after about the 3rd time it scrolls by. :P

He didn't specifiy which version of Doom he was running. Obviously running the latest release of doom is ridiculous. http://www.doomworld.com/ports/linux_unix.shtml . Go, look at the file sizes. Educate yourself. Be free!
