Has everyone tried MS Office 2007

Expiration Date

All 2007 Microsoft Office system Beta 2 software has an expiration date of February 1, 2007. After expiration, 2007 Microsoft Office system Beta 2 will continue to work in a reduced functionality mode that limits your options and operations.

What's the point of going through a 1 GB download and then having it crap out on you in less than a year? No thanks. I'll stick with MS Works.

Tom

Beta file sizes range from 75 MB to 1 GB, depending on the products you choose. Download times will vary depending on your Internet connection speed. We recommend downloading only if you have a reliable broadband Internet connection.

Even a 480MB d/l would take me weeks with a download manager and dialup. :(

Click on that link for the File Size/Download Time chart and you'll see what I mean. A gig would mean everything for the full suite if Im not mistaken... which I possibly am.

i would have thought for EVERY program it would be waay over a gig, there were loads to chose from when i downloaded, but for now i just downloaded the office package, proffesional plus or something, and that was only 440mb

MS Office is only 480MB, but you can download additional things.

And one year is a really long time, it's much better than MS "doesnt" Works.

"doesn't"? I've used Works since 2002 and have yet to have a problem:confused:
To me, Office is like killing a gnat with a cannon. Gross overkill. I'm not publishing a magazine, I just run a little database or two, have a spreadsheet, and type letters. For me, Works works. Beautifully.

That was just something i made up, lol

I used to have Works and i hated it, it's way too basic for me. MS Office has alot more options, and looks better.
