Hash like lines and flickering colours on monitor

So my monitor suddenly started flickering between colour tones and having very thin but numerous horizontal and vertical lines all over the place. It was most obvious with darker colours. I sent it to be repaired cause it was still under warranty, and after nearly a month in waiting, it comes back exactly the same, the fools.

It's pretty sensitive, shaking the computer table does it and wiggling with the vga output on the back sends it haywire. I can sometimes get a fine picture by wiggling it, but the slightest knock and it goes back to flickering and lines again. What could this be? Could I fix it myself if it's just a loose something?

Its a Samsung 733N by the way, thanks.

It sounds like either a broken cable or a broken video card. Are you using onboard or dedicated video card? Is there another port you can use or another card that you can use altogether?

Well, I used my mother's monitor while mine was away getting 'fixed', had no issues with that at all. It's definitely something with the monitor, since only when i wiggle the end going into it are there jumping colours and lines.
