IVE GOT A FOXCONN SATA LGA775 W/915 CHIP SET IVE BOUGHT 3 DIFFERENT STUPID CPU'S AND ITS STILL NOT WORKING ANY IDEAS THE BOARD WAS BOUGHT NEW TO BUILD AND SELL OFF.IF I BOUGHT A DEAD BOARD ANY ONE WANT TO BUY A LGA 775 3.0GHZ CPU AND FAN THERE NEW!!!

More often the problem is with the motherboard than the CPU. Test the board with
the minimal items connected - PSU, 1 stick of ram, CPU & Heatsink, and if you don't
have integrated graphics - add the video card.

In my case, I had two sticks of ram, and one stick was dead. And this stick of ram
was keeping the entire computer from booting. I tested with one stick at a time and
it booted. I thought it was the motherboard/CPU at first, so I was lucky, I only had
to return a stick of ram.

never thought of that i hope not but would it throw a black screen like i never powered it on.

That's exactly what happened in my system. I had just the PSU, motherboard, CPU
and heatsink, and the 2 sticks of ram connected. When I booted the machine, I had
a black screen. The computer makes a beep when the motherboard powers-up
successfully - there was no beep.

So I tested with one stick of ram a time - and it booted with one of them, and the
other was dead so it didn't boot with that one, and with both sticks in it wouldn't
boot either.

did you verify that the mobo was grounded properly???... for instance 6 (matx mobo) or 9 (atx mobo) spacers directly under the screw holes and not anywhere else.

did you verify that you installed the cpu correctly???/... lined up in the right direction as indicated by the manual, pulled the lever to the lock position

did you remember to connect the cpu power on the mobo..... not needed if you have a very old mobo. nowadays a 24 pin powers the mobo and a 4 or 8 pin powers the cpu on the mobo

Sometimes hardware comes dead on arrival... they can't test every piece before it's shipped, it's just an accepted part of building computers. If you're sure it's the motherboard, just send it back and they'll send you another one.

ya thats the first thing on the list. iwas even thinking the power supply maybe bad cuz i bought it used but not 3in arow.but im also if its not the memory could it be there aint enough power its only a 300watt

ok heres a nother question if a processor is not rite for the board will it give you a grid screen but flash the bio logo first pehinox (not sure how to spell today sorry) or will it do nothing mut a black screen

If the processor is not for the board, there is no way you're putting it in without bending
all the pins.

the cpu dont have pins the board does all lga 775 chips fit jus not sure if it too new for it.:gun:

yes it is possible at one point the board pierced my glove or the case and it ripped i forgot about that and i sure hope not

Foxconn 945P7AA-8EKRS2 is the mobo and the cpu Intel Pentium 4 630 3.0GHz 800MHz 2MB Socket 775 CPU and the other chip i got is Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz 800MHz 1MB Socket 775 CPU and heres the last chip i bought Intel Pentium 4 651 3.40GHz 800MHz 2MB Socket 775 CPU

i install my pc's bare handed and on carpet and all is good. so having something poke you shouldn't destroy it unless you feel a zap

did you go over my checklist? it could be a doa product but lets go through the basic errors before buying/replacing stuff
