I have a turntable that converts albums digitally. I have two older comps I want to hybridize into one that will have multiple hard drives that I can put all my albums on. One had 7 and one has vista. Which one should I use to make this one huge storage unit for the music. Literally 4-5 hundred albums. OR Should I scorch the drives and buy 10 to run this? Motherboards are at least 7 years old.

For storage you really don't need anything fancy. Vista sucks though so using Windows 7 is highly recommended. I would not get Windows 10 as the media player is pretty crappy, and is just a waste of your cash.

Thank you for the input. This will be a winter project to rip all the vinyl. I figure 4 months so I need to assemble the construct soon.
