have windows 7 on an external drive need some help

i have windows 7 on an external hard drive and i am wondering how to go about installing programs like photoshop etc should i create another partition ie logical drive or can it be installed the same partition i have my hardrive intwo primary partitions and one secondary partition ant help would be appreciated

You can install programs to any partition, as long as you install it from within the operating system you plan on using it in.
