Have you beat the addiction?

If you were a hardcore wow player (I.E. end game raider or gladiator) and beat the addiction after many years check in! 3 years of wow every single day. I have been clean since December of 09. :eek:
 
I played on and off for two years, more off than on. It got so dull and repetitive that I would buy a two month and play only two weeks. Maybe if they logged you're time played for the time you bought than just giving you a window to play I'd play. It'd be a more fair method in my opinion, but then blizzard wouldn't make nearly as much money.

I think I was odd whenever I played it. When friends would come over begging me to go do something, my normal response was "Sorry, gotta raid."
 
lol i do play wow abit, the free up to lvl 20 trial. then i mainly just walk around the noobish areas and be all badass.

i dont see why i should pay to play a game just because some people like it and i need to play with them. so i mainly stay a noob at level 20 :D

You haven't played it until you are top level and raiding man. It's so much fun.
 
I beat the addiction for 2 years... but like most addicts... took one login to be hooked again.. been back on for 2 months now.
 
I was never interested in playing WoW, mostly because of the subscription fee. I did try to play at a friend's house and couldn't get a handle of the controls. Perhaps I'm too simpleminded. I was addicted to Diablo 2 for a while, and will probably be addicted to D3 when it comes out.
 
I loved D2, and built my recent rig mostly for D3, BF3, and SC2. I was a 99 barb on the U.S. East ladder in D2. I will never forget the countless hours farming soj's / bul kathos ring, and doing hell baal runs.
