Having a huge problem

Alright there is a .jpg file on my desktop that is seriously bugging me. When i try to delete it, my cursor quickly turns into the standard hour glass thing, and then goes back to normal cursor. It wont delete!

AND also, when I right click it, these are the only options I get:

What should I do? :confused:
 
I had that problem with porn...:P It was in a folder though so I deleted the folder. =/ Cant delete desktop though. :P
 
What happens when you hit edit, and what happens when you hover over send to?

Also try opening up some sort of program where you can open it, but dont open it, just try deleting it from that program. (Open program -> Open -> Right click file name -> see if you can delete it from there)

Edit does nothing, hovering over send to:

And the deleting from a program did the same thing as if it were on the desktop.

Boot into safe mode and try deleting it
 
Boot into safemode and drag and drop it in the recycle bin. Left click on the icon and hold your mouse button and drag it right above the recycly bin and then let go of mouse button.

Not trying to make you sound retarded...Do this, right click on a empty space on your dest top>Arrange icons by>run desktop cleanup wizard and see if that will work.
 
What exactly is it? Have you tried to open it? If not go ahead and open it and tell me what it is...it's a jpg. file so I doubt if you will get malware but if you do we can fix that. Also can you get into the properties of that file?

What OS are you using? XP? do you have a restore point? Run system restore to a day before you got this file.

What did you do to get it? Did you download something? Was ya surfing a porn site? Kinda need to know.
