having a problem....

yesterday i was playing a game and all my power went out for no reason... so when i turned my computer back on it sat at the Welcome screen for about 2 mins and then my background came up and nothing eles for about 5 mins... then finally everything came up but now the internet isnt working and i know its my comp cause i tried to get onto xbox live with the same ethernet and it worked... so does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it??

i have tried spybot, ad-aware, virus protector and i even defraged my comp and nothing made a difference

i also cleaned out the Temp folder
 
this use to be a problem for me when id be playing a game with a shitty video card, it would sometimes kick me outof the game and my display woul;d be messed, id have to do a system restore.... since then ive gottan a video card and had no problems.
DO you have a video card?
 
hmmmmmmm well my idea was wrong then...... thats a good video card.
I dunno if its a good philosophy lol but when my comp screws up i just system restore or format it.

Start - all programs - accessories - system tools - system restore (then you just pick a date before the problem occured (yougenerally keep things like music and documents when you do this it doesnt get rid of em)
and another usefrul tools in there if your pc is almost full or running slow is system defragment
