Having Connection problems with new comp

Hello, Im pretty new to this forum and ive been recently having problems with internet connection. I have a Asus - Essentio Desktop / AMD Athlon™ II X2 Processor / 4GB Memory / 1TB Hard Drive, i recently bought this computer from best buy. Soon after i purchased a cisco wireless adapter to get wireless internet. Now i know the computer isnt the problem so is the adapter? My router is pretty close and gets good connection, but when trying to play a video on youtube or something it takes FOREVER to load. Its probably some easy fix im not seeing but any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. :D
 
How close are you to the actual router? If you are close enough, why don't you just use ethernet cable? Most likely its your wireless device. USB wireless devices can be problematic.
 
well my room is right above the room with the router so its not tooo terribly far, but to troublesome to get to with Ethernet
 
Either try updating the driver for the usb wireless or you may have to end up going with pci wireless card that has done well for some of my clients.
