Having problems with new SSD or RAM... please help

Greetings, All. I decided to upgrade my computer with a new set of RAM and planning on a complete OS re-install with a SSD and mechanical HDD.

Here are the specs:
EVGA X58 FTW3 mobo, i7-950 Bloomfield CPU
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 12GB 1333 DDR3 SDRAM
500GB WD HDD with Windows 7 Home

Upgraded specs:
Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 24GB 1600 DDR3 SDRAM
120GB Neutron Series GTX SSD

I planned on using the existing WD hard drive with the SSD, the operating system is still currently on that hard drive. I rearranged my SATA cables to different ports on the motherboard to help with cable management.

Issue at hand: the computer won't boot at all. The computer powers on and the LEDs on the RAM modules light up but remain on a steady pattern, like they normally do when computer first boots. However, I can't get the computer to post. The FTW3 motherboard has a two-digit display that will show post codes during boot or otherwise displays motherboard temperature. The display is blank. It just seems to be in a limbo.

I don't know if this is pertinent, but the board is triple channel memory. I bought three dual-channel kits to get a total of 24GB of RAM. The board should be able to handle the 24GB.

Tried pulling the CMOS battery to do a hard reset and that hasn't worked. Tried routing SATA cables back to original ports but nothing's fixed.

Trying to figure out what I did wrong here, or what I could do to resolve the issue... any tips? I don't intend on restoring the computer back to the same settings, I wanted a clean install. Any help is welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Does the computer boot up with the original sticks of memory? Why on earth do you need 24gb of memory?

Have you tried with just the new memory and SSD only, to see which is the problem? In other words, without the old harddrive and memory. If it boots add the old memory and then add the old drive to see where the problem pops up at.

Yes sir. I still remain stuck in a pre-POST phase.

And... really big AutoCAD projects. But, that's beside the point.

First post was directed at John... Stranglehold, along with placing the original RAM back onto the board, I've re-routed my HDD back to it's original SATA motherboard port without the SATA cable to the SSD plugged in.
