OK, i was originally going to get a Thermaltake Tough Power 850w PSU, but i need to save some money so i may only go with a single 8800gtx so i was going to get the 650w version, but the thing is i might in the future go SLI, but that will be idk, but the thing is im also getting the QX6700 Cpu and the 650w says supports Dual Core, but im gettign quad core...and of course the 850w says QUAD support, so what woul di be better off with?

PS: im also getting extra crap like a cathode light and a round UV IDE cable for my dvd drive. Im also getting extra fans...

Either one will be able to power your quad core processor. Just because it doesn't have "Quad core support" doesn't mean it can't power them.

quad is probably referring to quad-sli, not quadcore processors

you can do a quad-7950, they're almost expensive as an 8800gtx, tho

i would personally split the difference and get the 750w thermaltake for $169

the 850 watt one would be better, but the 650 watt will be good enough until you go SLI with the 8800GTX's then you could upgrade to the 850 watt PSU

i'd still get the 750, it will have plenty of power for future upgrades

or you could get a case with slots for two power supplies

they make a 250 watt PSU the only supplies the GPU's, and it fits in a 5.25 bay

i had a link but i cant find it

Sorry about the off topic question, but i was going to get the 64bit version of Vista, but ppl are telling me not too. Why?
