Having trouble finding out info

So i'm new to this forum.
Just a quick hello

Anyway, this week i've decided to upgrade my computer....
It's not a new model... Sony Vaio PCV-RX302

I really would like to upgrade the graphics card, but i'm having a hard time finding out what other types of graphics card would work with my system.
I know my current graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440...
But i dont know what other types would support.
i can also tell you my motherboard is an, ASUSTeK.

Any help or advice would be great!
i need to know mainly what type of graphics cards my system takes, Pci or pci express etc etc etc.....

if you want to upgrade the graphics card im assuming your using it for gaming?
