Hd 400 games lagg

I remember playing just cause 2 on intel hd 3000 integrated graphics on medium settings and I was getting about 30fps (it was some toshiba laptop w/no discrete graphics, core i3) and now my friend has an ASUS VivoBook X202E-DH31T and he's barely getting 5fps, and this laptop has hd 4000 graphics. Any ideas why, and how to get it to work?

Well no but it's a laptop that came with windows pre-installed, so why in the world would he even think about installing drivers, are the drivers not pre-insaled on the laptop by asus?

Try updating the drivers anyway. Could be that Asus let it out with basic windows drivers.

I'll tell him to do that. Also, is it possible that the graphics have been downclocked so the ultrabook doesn't fry?

wait, is it one of those ULV chips? If so, you are looking at weaker graphics than a full power SB GPU.

the processor will have a U at the end of it, like 3337U.
